Motorcyclists Have a Blast at MV Agusta Day

April 12, 2008 |
Steelhorse Classics hosted a "MV Agusta Demo Day" on April 12 for individuals to test ride the following motorcycles:
F4 1000R, Brutale 910R, Brutale 910S, and the F4 312.
Fifty motorcyclists participated in 25-minute rides around Williamsburg and more than 125 people stopped by the dealership to see various motorcycles,
enjoy pizza and other snacks, and socialize with fellow cyclists.
Alex Bennett from MV Agusta's parent company, CAGIVA USA, organized the groups of 5 -6 riders throughout the day and participants said
they thoroughly enjoyed seeing what riding an MV is all about.

The appearance of the MV Agusta F4 CC, a very exclusive bike of which only 99 units were produced worldwide and is priced
accordingly at $120,000, brought a high level of excitement to the crowd.
Sporting a 200 crank horsepower engine, a free-flow racing exhaust system, and titanium, carbon fiber, and magnesium parts,
the F4 CC actually was ridden by Alex Bennett and Mike Warner as the lead bike on several of the group rides. What a breathtaking experience!

Thanks to all who turned out for the Demo Day event and helped to make it a tremendous success.
Prize winners will be notified by mail of the merchandise they have won.

A great mix of machines was represented including a 1938 Harley UL, KTM Super Duke, two Russian Urals, a "storm" of BMWs ranging from 1950 through 2007, and various models of Suzuki, Honda, Triumph, Yamaha, MV Agusta and Moto Guzzi.

Thirty bikers took off mid-morning on a back roads ride to Shockhoe Bottom in Richmond organized by Dean Blair of the Williamsburg Riders club.

Riders were generous in their donations and $550 was raised for Operation Family Fund. Thank you to all who participated to make this a successful event!

Demo Truck Appearance

August 25th, 2007

Minnesota floods and 100 degree Virginia heat did not deter 150 motorcycle enthusiasts from descending on Williamsburg, Virginia
to participate in Steelhorse Classics' Moto Guzzi Demo Day on August 25.
Despite the national Moto Guzzi show tractor trailer and 16 demo bikes being destroyed in savage floods the previous weekend at the National Annual Rally, the Williamsburg Demo Day took place as planned.

The Piaggio Group Americas corporate office did a phenomenal job in deploying 2007 Moto Guzzis from other U.S. locations to Williamsburg within several days.
Thanks to Piaggio's initiative, quick actions, and commitment to their customers and Steelhorse Classics, customers had an opportunity to test ride the Guzzi models of their choice.

Participants suited up for safety briefings each hour before heading out in "eight packs" to test ride the Guzzis along the scenic
Colonial Parkway and other area roadways to get a feel for their bikes' capabilities.
Back at Steelhorse Classics guests enjoyed snacks, ice cold beverages and a fried chicken lunch as they eyed
Guzzis and vintage motorcycles on the showroom floor and in the parking lot.
Raffle prizes were drawn periodically as bike enthusiasts shared a day of socializing and talking motorcycles.
